I think they were an optional delete on the car?

If you don't have them, make friends with someone who does and hope they write their car off before you do.

$211 per side + postage from Japan (Brand new). Expect to pay double that from Mitsi Australia. Can have them here in a couple of weeks. Now, after having said that, I expect that I wont be getting a reply - told you they were expensive. Cant say I know why. Ill keep an eye out for a 2nd hand set on yahoo Japan.

the Jap owner may not have wanted to pay out the $$$ for them when they got the car new.
any way its a great spot to put the cold air feed for C.A.I. if you dont get the fog lights.

      2 reasons,

Firstly they were an option on most models, so unless the extra was paid, you didnt get them.

Second reason is compliance. The only way under the new rules that the facelift FTO can be complied is to put the indicators where the foglights are. Most compliance shops dont bother rigging up a bracket that puts the foglights back in where the indicators originally were. This all has to do with the 45 degree visibility of the indicators from the front and the side.

hang on dwayne, do you mean to say that the foggies originally sat outside of the indicators? and that they're swapped on all of our cars?

Foglights are originally on inside and indicators on outside. In old ADR scheme, these did not need to be changed, so there are legally complied FTO's out there with indicators in original position. With the advent of the current ADR scheme, they needed to be changed to meet the current requirements. There will also be a few around where the compliance shops didnt bother to change them over and didnt get audited.

lol, we make a pretty good team. I dont know much about the external differences & factory options etc, but I can talk about the mechanical differences until the cows come home.
