Thinking of getting springs and mags but cannot afford both at the same time.
Is it okay to lower my car with the stock GR mags. Is there a difference in what wheels i have on?
I'm looking at the TEIN S tech springs. These lower my car by 49mm at the front and 40mm at the rear. Anyone have these springs and can comment on them? Are they too low?
Thanks

yerrr, Steve's right... if your shocks have clocked some decent k's, fitting lowered springs (esp the TEINs) will only wear it out even quicker because i believe they are much harder than other lowered springs out there, and the factory shocks were not matched for the TEIN spring rates...
stock GR mags i believe only come with 205 tyres so if you lower it, you are going to make those tyres work very hard, esp if you drive it hard around corners etc.
if i were you i'd get a decent set of mags with enough budget aside to get a different set of lowered springs (if you intednt o stick with std shocks). otherwise, save upo for a bit longer hehehe...

With the Tein S Tech springs, you have 2 options: A Soft type, and a Hard type. On the Tein site they have the spring rates listed also. The Soft setting is rated )kg/mm) between 2.1k and 3.2k and the rears are rated between 1.2k and 2.6k. The lowering height at the front is 49mm and rear is 45mm.ellusion wrote:I'm looking at the TEIN S tech springs. These lower my car by 49mm at the front and 40mm at the rear. I think for a comfortable ride, the Soft option is the go-er. The hard type is rated at 6.7k at the front and 5.5k rears.
