bit of a problem

Hey i just had a odd problem with my car on the weekend i parked the car to drop some ppl off and i put it into park and than once they hoped out i put it into drive but for some reason it got stuck in neutral and it was flashing so i turned the car off and back on and it was fine again and i havnt had a problem since. Does any one know what it could be?

check error codes mate heaps of people had this issue and can be a number of different things just have a look through
