just stay behind another car and you will be ok with speed
as for the K's not working that is a + for you

1st and easiest one to check is that the dial cluster is slotted into it's connectors ok. take her out and put her back in.

well everything looks to be in order on the box.
just fiddled with stuff lol!
upon further inspection
in the drivers wheel arch.. i took out the plastic liner as it was rubbing badly. i looked up and there are a few wires that have had the plastic coating stripped and bare wires are showing..
could be a reason?

i doubt it, i dont think the wires travel through the wheel arch but i could be wrong, mate if i didnt have so much on plate at the moment i would try and have a look sorry. The only thing i can suggest is check out the wiring manual and try and see what the wire colours are.

Okie dokie
checked the gearbox.. all seems to be in order
still a bit concearned about open wires in drivers wheel arch.. so i taped them for now..
may have to get a new cluster (hi dwayne)
but just out of curiosity can you make the speedo needle move with the gauges off the car? connect power to any of it?

Dunno, but the tacho on both my FTOs was f*cked when I got em. Replaced a sensor and voila. Could be a sensor?

If it were a manual, I would have said drive to my place and we could of swaped over the units to see if it worked... Not sure if a tip cluster will work on a manual ...
But if you want to head out here and try it, let me know.... Just a short trip down the m5 ...
