would 5kW make any noticable difference? just wonder soo i can prepare for modding my FTO. Im planning to save up and go hardout and do heaps, soo i can feel a huge difference (talking about 5-6k in performance mods)
... or just gradually get this and that for the fto ... but yeah would under 5 kW give the car a NOTICEABLE differene?
btw ben, are you pm's full

Was havign a look at the rpw site. They have a "stage 2 hydraulic one"

They says they have one for the mivec engines... hmm. But yeh piggyback does seem the way to go next.

Show me a dyno & I'll believe it. Plus you gotta fork out $2000+ for billet sticks to put the grind onto.bushido wrote:Was havign a look at the rpw site. They have a "stage 2 hydraulic one"

TB was b0red out by my local machine shop. Cant remember the name, but any engineering shop with a boring machine can do it.

Ralliart Hong Kong. As mentioned previously, when my engine is in peices next time, anyone is able to borrow them & have them doctored (get the specs off them.)yano28 wrote:What about the ralliart ones mr pres has? Don't rpw sell adjustable cams though???Bennoz wrote:There is no such thing as a hot cam for FTO's nor is there anyone with a grind for them.
No such thing as adjustable cams, its adjustable cam gears (the cogs that have the timing belts round them.)

There is no purpose to putting on vernier cam gears unless you have some cams that require tuning in to something other than TDC (Top Dead Centre or 0 degrees.)
There might be a possible benefit of saving some weight as opposed to the standard gears, but you guys should be focusing on the basics before bothering with expensive, minor result giving modifications.
