Any of you use carmate.com? Ive asked them if they will ship over to the UK. Im interested in a couple of bodykits they do.
Whats the quality of their kits like? Are they their own kits or do they buy them in? As if they wont ship them I will need to find someone else that will.

I have only heard bad things, like improper fitment, warping, and divets.
CHRISTIANITY: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

Bought a fair bit from them.
Let's just say the products are adequate and actually are functional if you are willing to modify them to fit properly.
Certainly wouldn't be paying to be importing them into England though, try to find someone more local.
Aren't FTO's quite popular in England ? There is nothing available local ?

Not worth taking the risk. Most likely it'll be fine, but a good chance something will be off, and you wouldn't send it back for an exchange/refund cos the postage will you a bit.RalliartBoy wrote:

Personally had a bad experience with a rear bar when my car was rear ended. Bought a bar, took it to my smash repairer who's very reputable, he showed me that there's no way the bar's going to fit, unless they force it on and it'll look clearly out of place, saw this myself. Also quality of the bar was sub-par, might just have been that particular one, I dunno. But definately wouldn't buy any kits from there, probably just a bonnet if anything.

My carbon fibre bonnet for my FTO was from there and it was not the best quality or fit......looked tacky until i had it sprayed and fixed up.
Things not safe to buy from carmate:
Kits
Bonnets

hey, i brought the CM4 front bar from them, i wish io hadn't though....it didn't fit,put one side of the bar on, and the other side of the bar wasn't even close, you really had to flex it to make it fit, but i dont think the screws would of held it in place), i didn't want to send it back, so i ended up modifiying it myself to make it fit, chopped away a few bits and refibreglass a few areas.

This is exactly what the case was with my rear bar.GR8FTO wrote:it didn't fit,put one side of the bar on, and the other side of the bar wasn't even close, you really had to flex it to make it fit, but i dont think the screws would of held it in place
The guy hung up the first time I called about it after claiming to put me on hold so he can speak to his manager.
I went in store and after a lot of convincing to get me a refund I managed to get 80% of my money back. They charged me 20% restocking fee even though I only had it for 3-4 hours.
