has anyone here replaced a sump before? how hard a job is it, and how much for a new / 2nd hand sump?
looks like the owner before me scraped it over something like a gutter and its leaking slowly from near the drain plug. i could weld it up, but if its out i might as well replace it.
thanks
sump replacment

took the sump out today while i had the car up on stands replacing the engine mounts. job was as follows;
had to remove the starter motor and exhaust to access all the bolts. i just dropped the exhaust from the manifolds and let it hang down.
there are 2 bolts closest to the flywheel that proved awkward to reach with a socket, had to use a tube spanner. i replaced these 2 bolts with stainless cap screws so next time i just use an allen-key.
after cleaning the sump i could see the metal was split from the dent, so i just brazed it over.
