Anyone here fitted Koni Adjustable Shocks to their FTO? Are they good?

tania the suspension workshop will take care of that for you, obviously its not as straight forward as a swapout with new ones, but then thats why they are cheaper coz youre not paying for the struts as well...
i find mine to be not too stiff at all on the softest setting... youd be crazy to drive on the stiffest setting on sydney roads...

Teania,
I have adjustable koni`s fitted and they are great. The only problem is the only ones for a FTO rear, are only adjustable by taking the rear end apart.
ie a big job.
The front ones are easily adjustable via the top of the strut tower via the engine bay.
Because I am trying to dial out understeer, I had the rears adjusted up 1 turn and have the front fully off. On track days I can easily adjust up the front. The ride is slightly more bumpy, but makes up for the better handling on the track.
Hope this helps.
Jeff

really???? i thought the koni's were adjustable at the base..... (on the rears)
where is the adjuster for it??? if its on the top just cut a hole in your carpet in the boot (i've had to do this for a rear strut brace)

my rear koni's are adjustable only after taking it all apart... its got an allen key head at the top but i dont think that's for adjusting the stiffness.. the pdf manual says you have to push the head down, then twist it counterclockwise/clockwise to adjust the stiffness....
so it's necessary to adjust it before installing...

i think rear shouldnt need as much adjusting as front, ive kept mine on hardest setting on the rears, and i keep my front on softest settings for everyday road comfort driving, and it still handles like a dream
so when you install the rears, if they are koni's, best bet is to just install them at the stiffest setting
good thing about koni's is they are rebuildable, whereas kyb are disposable, hence now i have kyb rear and koni at the front (adriano took my rear konis

Yeah i did the same as well, & mine is KYB front & back, & like you said G1, i think is time to dispose them.G1 wrote:i think rear shouldnt need as much adjusting as front, ive kept mine on hardest setting on the rears, and i keep my front on softest settings for everyday road comfort driving, and it still handles like a dream
