Through my research i would say no, not really unless you plan on forced induction. A fuel pressure regulator is designed to give added pressure to the fuel system which in turns forces more fuel out of the injectors. This is important in forced induction becuase the engine needs to run richer as to not cause detonation or the engine will blow. However not so important with n/a cars. I could be wrong though thats just what i have read

it's also basically to maintain a constant fuel pressure above the intake manifold temperature.
you don't necessarily have to have forced induction in order to put one in, forced induction requires a different regulator anyways. Rising rate regulators, thats what they are, different to the typical regulator.
But then again unless you have larger aftermarket injectors (on your N/A car) then not much point in getting one!
