factory 6-stack ERROR 2 message

hi, i have a 1995 GR and ive still got the stock head unit and 6-stacker in the centre console. my tape and tuner are working fine but when i flick it to cd it comes up saying ERROR 2 everytime it tries to read a cd. the stackers making noises like its working properly, but it just won't read them. please help!!...can this be easily fixed or am ia up for a new stacker??? :(

OK .. Not trying to be a smart @ss, but are you putting in a normal CD or a burnt one ???

I have this problem with my factory stacker... Some times it would read the burnt CD's, and some times it would spit out the error 2 message...
