Bonfire MK2

Post by dstocks »

OK, trying to get an idea of numbers for the second bonfire down the south coast.

The first one was a great success and so there will be another on the Queens Birthday Long Weekend (7-9 of June) unless that proves to be a bad weekend for people. Have a pile of wood that already rivals the last one and im thinking this one will end up being bigger.

Havent decided on a definite day over the weekend as yet, so happy to take suggestions there. And if the date needs to be moved, thats possible too.

Heres the wrap up from the last one:

Got 8 cars last time. Want to beat that this time.

Whos up for it!!!

OK, got a problem. Seems the Anzac Day weekend is not going to work for a number of people (Bennoz, Kaz, AJ for starters), so im going to put some dates up below. Put your name down against the dates you can make it

QBday - Sat Night 7th June

    QBday Sun Night 8th June

    Sat Night 14th June

    Sat Night 28th June

At the moment, the best date is looking to be the 14th June. I can do any of these, so just put your name against the dates you are available.

the long weekend is out for me...
but if it's the saturday after i'm a possibility :D

      just did some quick research,
South Coast touring info lists Melb to Batemans Bay as a 10hr drive,
      is that accurate? :?

it should only take you aprox 8-9 hoours as when Dimi and I came back from the VIC meet up it only took 10.5 to 11 hours to get home (due to Dimi being on P's) 100k/h you can do it faster.

Yep 8 and a half hours if you go via Sale and along the coast.

OK, lets go the 14th June. If you could make it Silverfish, that would be fantastic
(I know thats a long drive and I appreciate you making the effort!). If youre prepared to come that far there is no excuse for those that are closer then. Think you can convince anyone else from down that way?

Id love to see 15+ turn up. Oh and for those that arent into camping, I have some space in the house.........

Dont worry mate. Got a fold out double futon in the house if it comes to that. There will probably be room in someone elses tent too for that matter.
