throttle body rear bolt

im doing my rocker cover today guys and iv havign a bit of trouble with the throttle body....iv removed the intake pipe and the mivec cover and the four bolts on the side of the throttle body but the one ahe back how the f**k do you get to it? the thing iv circled is in the way

the thing you circled seems to be an aftermarket item. Mine doesn't have that in there. It looks like an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator. What's the hoses on it attached to?

they are your vacuum hoses..

can you post the picture without the red circle. It's really hard to see what hoses are running where and how this thing is attached to your firewall

Its not aftermarket & its not attached to the firewall. Its the ABS solenoid & its bolted to the throttle body.

ok when removing the throttle body do i need to remove it?

Nope, just pull the lines off it.

You will have to remove the cooling lines thou if you want to remove the TB completely. They attach to the underside of the unit. Be prepared to block the hoses with screw drivers. You'll get some coolant leak.

ummm ok if i just want to remove the intake manifold would it be easier to leave the throttle body attached?

If thats all you need to do then yeah, just unbolt it from the manifold & leave it in the car with the lines connected.

just another question...my car has ABS + Traction Control, does that complicate the process much??
