Fuse for boot light ??

Post by RalliartBoy »

Decided to check out why my boot light was not working tonight and discovered the bulb was blown.

Replaced the bulb and still no light so i have come to the conclusion that maybe a fuse is blown.

Does this sound right ?

Also, does the boot light have a fuse and where would i find it as i checked the drivers kick panel but after seeing it all written in Japanese, i have no idea which one it could be.

if your interior lights are still working then it is most probrably not a fuse but a problem with the wiring somewhere. (could be wrong though)

Try cleaning the switch with some WD40 or similar. It is located in the boot locking mechanism.

    Thanks for the advice.

Interior lights and every other light is fine.

Boot light has never worked since i have had the car, i was of the opinion it didn't have a light until i saw the little cannister with a bulb in it.

The bulb was burned beyond recognition which makes me believe it is a fuse.

But, where is the fuse ?

I looked in the kick oanel inside the car but not being able to read Japanese, i have no idea.

Thanks very much for the diagram, appreciate it.

I'll start checking some fuses over the weekend.

Not too sure which one the boot light refers to though.

I blew my boot light fuse when I was wiring up the amp lighting ... From memory it was the number 4 fuse in the engine bay
