Questioin on Fuel Filter

Post by fto12345 »

Hello,

What is fuel filter and how do you replace it?
Also when do you replace it and why would you want to replace it?

Thanks,

Just saw some one talking about this a little while ago and thought I'll ask a question.

Thank you,

So, does any one know about this?

I want to replace mine but don't really know how..

Has any one done this?

or at least bought the fuel filter?

Thanks,

Yes but it never really said where it was at.

Where abouts being a little bit more specific would be great.

I am not a person who doesn't know any thing about cars but this is just too vague for me to go under neathe the car and look for it.

I hope we are not talking about engine oil filter.

I am talking about the fuel filter.

It's just I have never seen one so I don't know where it goes and what it looks like.

Thanks,

btw, haven't had time to copy the CD yet so will get back to you on this soon hopefully.

fto12345,

If you would like you can drop over and I can show you how to change it, it is no where as big a job as the exhaust change you did here.

Stephen was going to set up a workshop day at my place on either of the last two weekends in March.

I have cleaned up my garage area now and set up my work bench.

No, we r not talking about oil filter.
It is attached to the firewall, just behind the rear bank if I am refering to the car direction. (or right bank of the engine if I am refering to the engine direction).
You can see it by opening the bonnet, u dont need to go under the car.
The size is about 55mm in diameter x 110mm long (stock one).
Where and when can we meet, I can show it to you. Feel free to pm me.
Hope that will help you.
