Few simple new mods ...

Post by rock_it »

Just did a couple of things today ...

Finished off putting in the Stereo ... Which resulted in me cracking the stupid stereo surround ... Grrrrr !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really love this Pioneer Deck ... So much control, simple design, and pretty user friendly..I just gotta put in the TV, DVD player (which will be in the glove box), and then do all the amps and stuff ... So slowly getting there ...

The other thing I had a play with was these ....

And now since I have shown them, here is the long shot of the stereo ...

Thanks mate... Yep they are the 2".

was pretty easy to put in too ... Just too the old ones out, trimmed the black plastic to let the gauges sit flush... Then jus took out the clock and the volt gauge out of the white plastic backing... Cut through the back of the white plastic so these things would poke through.... And done...

That way you get to use the factory mounting points, and don't have to try and fab something up yourself... You can then also use the clear plastic the protected the stock gauges...

The only thing you gotta put up with, is that there is the little whole in the clock one... But what can you do ... Both stock gauges are a different size, so you can't just use the volt one on the clock ... How silly is that .... :?:

Thanks mate... I am still undecided on what gauge I should put in my other pod....

I decided not to go with the KMC dials for the moment ... I may try and do a LED conversion on the gauge cluster... See if I can make it look like the 2 new gauges...
