What's the problem your having?mr_f700 wrote:has anyone else had this problem because im stressing here
I just went through a big head f#@k with my tip box (seeing as your here, thanx again for tryin to help dstocks).
What are the symptoms?
Might as well pick a few brains for possible causes while your here.
I woulda thought the computer would be pretty reliable, what makes the mechanic think its the box's ECU?

Agreed, the ECU doesn't usually go pop...TCGPX wrote:What's the problem your having?mr_f700 wrote:has anyone else had this problem because im stressing here

Have you tested to see the tip box error codes? (Same way you see the engine ECU codes.)

OK, that is odd...
Maybe also check the power and earth connections for the gearbox ECU then?
If it's not gettin power it'll be dead in the water.
I tend to suspect wiring issues before the actual components, plus it's easier to check than replacing the ECU.
Fuses would be an obvious one I'd guess he's checked already.
The wiring diagram download will show him which connectors at the ECU to check if he hasn't already.
Otherwise you got me on that one...
