Hey ray!
Sounds like it could be your stepper motor.
This page has some great info and pics of possible solutions.

Hi, I have the similar problem as described by the website demonjay posted earlier. I am wondering, what does the cost ce$70 mean? what type of currency is that, i'm not sure if it's only my computer that can't see it properly. I need to purchase one of those ISC for my car. Thanks heaps for helping me!

yygirl, it's in euros.
Make sure you need to actually replace it first before spending the dough,
Clean the isc well as described on that web page, also clean the inside of the throttle body (q tips dipped in cleaner work well).
Disconnect the battery of your car for at least 30 mins, this will cause the engine management system to do a reset of the engine settings.
put it back together and see if it'll idle properly. (If you know how to use a multimeter, you can unscrew the two exposed screws on the stepper motor while it's out, and check the magnet coils, you'll notice there are 2 magnet coils inside the small cover on the outside of the stepper motor, each has 3 solder connections, set your multimeter onto the 'speaker' setting where it will make noise if a contact is made, and proceed to test the connections of the centre pin of each magnet, to each of the outside pins of the same magnet, both should 'sound off', if one pin fails, you have a dead coil) This is what happened to mine, and as I couldn't find a replacement coil, I had to buy a new stepper myself (available for $250 from nardek in Sydney)

Disconnect the battery for about 15mins -30mins. After this just reconnect the battery, and drive the car around as you would normally. You will probably find that the car will behave a little strange during this time, until it "re-programs" itself.
