Post by GoldFTO »

um just a randomn question about the front lights on my to car?
i duno if it with all fto though.

my main driving head lights have like a mist around them and it makes my lights dull and dont really cover much of the road?

is it only mine with this wierd snowy cover or everyone has it?

if so what does everyone use to make them better because i even bought them blue lights and they make no different?

i think you're talking about the water vapor trapped inside the lens? you have to put them in an oven to weaken the glue holding it together, and pull it apart to clean it. do the same thing in reverse to put back together

Even if your headlight are clear, you won't see much of the road as non HID FTO headlights aren't exactly bright. There are 2 DIY in the DIY section, one is to clear the mist and the other is for upgrade the light bulbs.

Other thing is delaminating...

Is the mist on the inside of the headlights or can you feel it on the outside of the lens.

If you can feel it on the outside, there's a laminate over the headlights that's peeling.

Need to sand and polish them to remove it, it's a common problem.

There are also DIYs here to do it, do a search if that's your problem.
