I am considering buying my brothers fto from NSW. It has a pod filter cold air induction kit added and i am concerned it wont be compliant with sa standards. Would i need to enclose itto be compiant?
I live in Adelaide and as i am not mechanically minded could someone recommend someone who would enclose the system and the approx cost.
compliancy with SA standars

i think that a lot of people on this site have actually had a go at making their own pod boxes so if your good at that sort of stuff it is possible to save some money by doing it yourself.
i'm not too good with this sort of stuff myself but i don't think it would be too hard.
just use one of those sun visor things that goes over the front window and modify it to fit in a box made out of wood, plastic, etc.
then just give it a feeder pipe so that it gets fresh air going through.

I know that Regency are pretty tough on modified cars, especially imports.
Information Bulletin 3 (Modifications to Passenger Cars) which is on the Transport SA website specifically states for:

why not contact one of the other SA members and try to get a stock intake to fit if only for the day for compliance.
Then just modify it back later on. From what I hear Queensland are trying to implement the same rules up here so I'd still be trying to box it after the complaince, not to mention the benfits in doing so
