hi, not sure if this is the right section to post it, but anyway...
when the car is cold and it revs up to around 3000 rpm i hear this kinda "grinding" sound then fine after that rev range, and the sound goes away once the car is warm.
any ideas??
thanks

Very possible. Ask what thickness the oil is. There's a thread somewhere in the General Section i think about oils.

no its a tip tronic. and the sound has gone away for the past few days ...i was also thinking it may be a heat shield, but the sound only occurs under load.
