Question about Kaze body kit

Post by Dragonfyre »

Sorry if this is a noobish question, but with the Kaze body kit, I am thinking about the front bumper and aero bonnet, but will I need the front fender with air duct? And I would only need one of the tail light cover types, right?

I know about the costs associated, but it is what I am looking for when I get the FTO, which is soon *crosses fingers*.

Sorry for the question, since it is just due to my inexperience...

welcome to the club
i'll keep my personal opinions about Kaze styling to myself (ewwwww!!!!! 8O )

looking at the lines in the pic, looks like the front bar
SHOULD line up with the stock fenders,
but there's no way of telling for sure just from pictures.

as for tail light covers, just pick either style 1 or style 2, you won't need both.

I am still undecided on the Kaze kit.. It has a strange attraction vs repulsion effect ... it looks really cool, but also a bit ugly at the same time... I can't really put my finger on what it is though... maybe just needs to be rounded off on some of the jagged / angular edges... or maybe its just that it's a bit too busy & needs to be simplified a bit more..

The rear bumper is pretty mad... I have a simliar concept in mind for my rear ... but looking at the pics for it again, it looks like I could probably modify a Kaze rear bumper & use it as the basis for my design! (rather than modding a DC kit) :)

oh yeah, & don't listen to what anyone says about it, if you like something & want to spend the money on it, go for it :)

That said ... my advice would be... if it's not something you desperately need to do ASAP, just sit on the idea for a while, you'll probably change your mind at some point & decide you like something else better ... & you're better off to realise it before you spend all your cash on it...
& if a few weeks / months go by & its still the best thing ever then you pretty much know its the right choice..

Thanks for all the replies! I saw other topics with the Kaze kit discussed and the varied reactions. I like the style, although it is out there. Dare to be different, to use a cliche. :D

I'd be importing it. I know the cost, which is rather large, but if I do go the whole way, then that it what I will be doing. I don't know about the rear. I might or might not. I was thinking about using different parts, since it is mainly the bonnet and bumper that appeal to me, although the rear is nice.

Since I only plan to buy the car in January or February, I will have the time to sit back and consider if I want to do this. I will be doing that, considering the cost.

If your FTO is still up for sale then, I will consider it. :D Do you have a topic for it, so that I can check it out?

Ima big fan of the kaze kit as long as it aint all together i agree MR charisma that when together its a bit much. but mixed with other kits i think would look hot.
