omg i just took this bastard off took me about 3hours to get it out...
30min on the intake manifold...
1hour on the banjo bolt holding the outlet of the fuel filter on...
1.5hours on the inlet bolt... wtf they really dont give you any room back there to work with...
what bs mitsubishi engineer decided to put it there, the s13 one took me 10min to change...

FFS put the new one on and its leaking...
now gotta redo the whole thing and tighten the hoses

hahaha nah the car wouldn't idle and kept bogging down, felt like it was starved of fuel, so i thought it wold be the fuel filter and injectors were clogged
it works now, just the fuel leak now hahaha cant drive it till i got time to fix it

Lol i don't think that'd work
Just tighten it lol. You probably won't have to change it for another 100,00kms anyways (even though it's recommended 30,000).

There's a Loctite product thats specific to petroleum. Cant remember which one, but I've posted it on here before if you search...

yeah loctites a great product use it for work, but it's a bi*ch to get undone once its hard.

is water pump sealant ok? lol
cbf going out to buy loctite, i have plumbers tape and water pump sealant!

i think i didnt tighten it enough... im going to go do it now, if it still leaks... ill get some sealant

tightened! rounded the bolt but tightened! no longer leaking now!

Why did you remove your intake manifold?? I removed my batt, and took no time even on my first attempt.
Changed it three times.
I guess I have the right tools, and bigger arms heehhe.

Sorry to bring up an old thread but i'm about to take this on (changing the fuel filter) and want to know if it is worth doing myself or should i just pay to get it done ?
Any advice or tips as to how to go about it ?
