At the moment I got the LC-1 on order, just a bit over $400 from repco, I will put up pics when I get it, and I also should have a emanage ultimate coming sometime this week.

sounds like you're tuning the emanage yourself!

I think I bought only the sensor and the controller, no gauge but I can buy that later on, it comes with a data cable and software to hook up to a laptop so you can datalog, but I'm gonna hook it up to the emanage insted.

road tuning is a great way to adjust certin trouble cells and play with the timing a bit to reduce detonation as the dyno is on one day and temp..yet in reality you drive in a range of temps and conditions...your tuner cant always get it spot on...

isn't it bad to put it in 3rd and redline it?

i mean surely you'll be breaking the speed limit

so? like u have never done it.

u can lean/richen the mixture at low reves, high revs, different throttle and loads...

usually under max load conditions, 4th gear, what you tend to get some detonation if not tuned correctly...testing under different load conditions is the aim.

I got a manual so 3rd gear will be fine as long as i can fully load the engine to redline, I plan to road tune it first then just do a run on the dyno to make sure its alright, I plan to start turboing next month or two but don't want to talk too much about it yet as I'm not sure how money is at the moment as I'm going to see Linkin park in sydney in october, so saving up for that.

you can have the packaging for free + postage

I bought it for $765, thats the unit, harness, USB cable, software and postage all together, the normal emanage (the blue one) I think you can get one now for around $500 I think.

will be good man. the software is pretty easy to use. I'm thinking about putting one on my car again....cos I wanna tune it myself for fun. The Ultimate has dropped in price!!

I havnt seen any plug and play harnesses for the FTO, I have seen them for other more common cars though.
