Problem is thou..... as proven time & time again one can pour thousands & thousands of dollars ( ) into a naturally aspirated FTO motor..... and for what? 120 kws & a 15 second quarter mile.

The only way anyone gonna get any real power outta these things without forced induction is if someone comes up with a hot set of cams.... *looks at Dave* :)

Much like you can buy off the shelf for a VTEC YO!!!!! motor.

Your tt cams (or turbo cams) are completely different from N/A cams. Turbo cams tend to have big wide duration lobes to let as much mixed a/f get forced in as possible. N/A cams have very specific grinds with a physically bigger lift (ie higher lobes.)

But yeah, I'd be the first customer for said product...

Just email david to come talk about possibilities of engineering something...

Surely sales would be in the hundreds...

At the moment theres nothing in between the basics (exhaust, intake, fpr)
and going all out turbo conversion...

Cams would suit the vast majority of FTOers looking for extra grunt but dont want the headaches of a turbo setup...

Would think whoever came up with some would make a bucket!

Camshaft blanks are already available. As far as profiles go, we would rarely go larger on the high rpm lobes because the engine is alreday pretty much sucking in everyting it can. Probably go slightly larger by arond 10% more lift maybe.

But the low rpm lobes we cna definitly increase, we would actually use similiar profiles as those used in the 4G92 JUN Mivec camshfats which are a proven profile.

So heres the offer are you ready.......

First person to buy a set can have them at a discounted price but you will definitly need a greddy emanage on the car or equivelent to run this setup.

The price is still going to be over $2000.00 so if you don't have at least that much, don't contact me. But if you do, then feel free to speak to me. First in can have them.

Ahh but can I complicate the matter & tell you mine is a non mivec...

I'd also be a little hesitant to go & spend that kind of coin without some proven results (dyno figures etc)

Shame I dont live over in Perth, I could donate my spare engine for testing & development....

Non mivec is even easier. Can do a lot more with profiles for them. Cams are also cheaper normal retail price is $2050.00 for the four, can do a special once off set for $1650.00 with a custom profile.

There ya go ben...

Done and done...

1st GR person in gets the lucky cams....

Not bad considering thats the price of a decent exhaust/air intake...

and im guessing will give the potential for more power???

What sort of power would you expect to gain from these dave?

baed on what he just said not much more power overall. But low down responce would be improved on the low speed cams...as stated u need the supporting mods or your wasting your time. dispite what we think here, there isnt much of a market for it...hence why it has never been done.

i think ftosam was talking about the gain on the GR cams

i remember a guy with a white lancer and a cf bonnet (and a 6a12 mivec engine installed) having upgraded cams like this...and being parked outside rpw. dunno if he's posted anything on forums about it though.

would suck if you spent that much and only got a small gain
