doing headers???????

i have been hearing that doing any mods to cars
you should do a header to make good use of your other mods

has anyone done this and what does it exactly consist of and how much

also playing gran tourismo when you buy close gear transmission
it goes a lot quicker how much would this be???

Hey
I had a set of exhaust headers fitted a year ago at Liverpool Exhaust
Cost me $990 fitted... thats the headers and front pipe ect... down to the cat...
to be honest i did'nt notice a great deal of difference... it did feel abit quicker though...
looking back... prob not really worth $1000 for only a few KW....
just my 2cents anyways...
