has anyone removed theres ? mine are shitting me?

wouldnt mind the extra cooling as well

If you mean the guards on the back of the disc i would keep them, maybe not so much an issue in Aus but in wet conditions they help stop water buildup on the discs which can make a big difference the first time you brake in wet conditions. With a few modifications you can use them to help with cooling.
