Mind you, my sister has a non turbo. Wouldn't pull a greased stick out of a dogs arse, but its very reliable.

Supra's are nice cars & they keep their value pretty well compared to FTO's .. Are you going for a turbo/non-turbo?

i remember being 19 thinking the same thing, i honestly wish i hadnt even bought the fto back then...

please be sensible and drive safe, there have been so many "boy racer" deaths over here... its just not sensible... think "what would the 30 year old me buy"

good luck mate, you wont be a teenage forever

a while ago a supra was egging me on once, I took the bait... but smoked him, twice.
He started yelling "its only a non-turbo..."

OK then, but so is mine :P

This is only my opinion, but I would only get a Supra if it was turbo'd, when I bought my FTO I was trying to decide between a Supra & an FTO as well, but I was after non-turbo (for insurance) and I'm glad I got the FTO instead, they look sooo much nicer anyway..

My next car will either be an RX-7, Supra or Lotus Elise... but I think that's a few years off yet..

Isn't the Supra on the prohibited vehicles list anyway?

The real place the FTO wins dude is the interior. Its a really nice place to be. I like the Supra's almost cockpit style interior but I really like the FTO's, its comfortable, the climate control system is really simple but very effective and you will NOT get tired of the engine note. Never.

srs? your fto won? and if i was going to get a supra i would b getting non-turbo due to P restrictions, and no Supra isnt prohibited for Ps

hmm and i am pretty responisble driver, im not some manaic for real man.
but then asking this would b pretty bias on an FTO forum hehe
but arnt supras suppose to b faster than fto?

and also toyotas are in some ways better than mitsubishi

Stock for stock, n/a supra should smoke an fto down the 1/4, unless the supra driver was n00by lol. Manny GPX stock, mid to lowish 15's down 1/4, n/a mk4 supra, mid 14's.

Having said that, my lightly modded FTO is faster than my mates n/a mk4 supra.

I'm not sure handling wise but i think the FTO should outhandle a supra as it's more nimble and smaller. My mate said my car handles better than his but i'm running coilovers atm.

To be honest, i'd go for an FTO as well...the supra was on my short list too but imho it's a bit too big for a daily driver and it doesn't look too great.

Oh yeah, uhm generally speaking, the Toy would be more reliable. Toyota love over-engineering. Mitsu didn't do much of it on the FTO.

just remember we own fto's so u'll get more people in favour of ftos... but, supras are very nice cars, i wish i could tell u what makes and fto better than a supra, but I cant. both great cars, just depends on what u like more.

Btw.. if your changing your mind based on people telling u FTOs are peices of sh*t (believe me, ive gotten it a lot before i actually bought mine, and i still do from people who havnt seen my car), then i strongly advise u to not listen to them.. people that used to "hate" ftos without ever driving one, or seen one in real are horribly shocked at how much better it is than they thought.
