Thats cheap! A bit too cheap maybe.... ask them if the bends will be done by a mandrel bender & not a machine bender. I'd also look at getting a better cat put in, you'll get better power from it

A highflow cat can cost you anywhere up to $1000 bucks... you get what you pay for. I think from memory my cat was worth $550.

To my way of thinking Cannons are for show not for go, there are better options, but it depends on what you want, a good sound, or a go fast.

Again, the more you spend on a muffler the better, you also have a resonator to look after in the FTO as well. Both units I use are Herrod - commonly used on V8s.

I paid $1400 for highflow cat, resonator, muffler & 2.5" stainless mandrel bent piping & as a result it goes like a shower of sh*t, yet does not offend anyone when I start her up in the morning. I like the sleeper approach.

Oly I'd stay away from Livo.

Try Chris at Best Mufflers in Allawah(02 9547 3511). He worked on a white series 2 a couple of months ago, if that gives you any comfort 8) . Not sure on the price but he's a great craftsman and if you're after something he reckons you won't need, he'll tell you that.

Oly, are you sure your car is a version R and not a normal gpx with version r fittings??

I don't think anyone would get rid of the version r rear wing and put on the standard wing.

So what's the best suggestion for something that is not loud but have good performance ah? :)
The difference between what we do and what we are capable of doing would suffice to solve most of the world's problem.

+1 on Best mufflers in carlton, the pricing won't be cheap but you can be sure it'll be top notch. Chris can also custom design exhausts if you want something specail/unobtainable.

Silly question but doesn't the ralliart catback terminate the same as a gpx i.e. two angle cut stainless pipes poking out the bumper at different lengths ?

+1 on sleeper :D

Mhmmm

oh btw, the numbers after DE3A can be found on a metal plate stuck on your firewall. Just pop the bonnet and look for a metal plate on the firewall.

Nah it's a single tip outlet, as per pic.

I had Chris fit that up to a set of extractors, and it sounds great, whilst still being street legal. Not droney, complements the car well.

you should get a quote from Midas or somewhere... every time i've priced an exhaust system at RP Exhausts they've tried to rip me off as soon as they've heard its for an FTO...

Midas will do a good enough job of it & last time I called they quoted me around the $300 mark ... i think it was $250 cause I was supplying my own cannon..
