yeah it breathes pretty well... i'm going to do some vacuum testing on everything as soon as i can afford to take a day off and spend it at unique... if i have time i'll be doing this as well...

just of note the combination of the engine pipes and CAI stage two kit puts a woosh getting close to a BOV out the engine when you change gears...

The fact that the UAS pipe works best higher up in the rev-range where more exhaust gasses are being created proves that it is not restrictive.

Again, I am unbiased here as I own neither RPW or UAS stuff, just stating the facts. :D :P

actually that's only half of it... and restrictive is not the best word :P

basically you have two pipes going into one pipe... at different RPM the exhaust gass has different speeds...where two pipes connect you create turbulance...to aid with scavanging exhaust gasses you need the pressure wave from one pipe to be just passing the join to create a vacuum in the other pipe and help extract the exhaust gasses... you also do not want the gas from both pipes coliding with each other as this creates backwards pressure... its really fun trying to design something with variables like this :P

Hi There!

Been reading up on the site for a couple days and there is a lot of useful info here!!

We did a Group Buy on the RPW's in the UK and i think i know exactly what sound you are describing!

Just out of interest has anyone set there's up on the Dyno? What sort of gains have you found? What existng mods?

After i fitted mine we ran her in the morning with a average of 190 bhp (sorry all different figures!)

After the RPW's & FSE (FPR) were fitted 205.8 bhp so quite happy with the results.

(Torque figures to come!)

Existing mods:

Hybrid HKS exhaust
ITG Air Filter

VERY intrested with your topics smorison looks like you guys are gettin every thing you can outta the FTO!

i was thinking of doing this to my FTO
but i would like some more info from you guys who actually fitted to your car opinion first before i do so

i know that extractor on a civic is bloody loud, how about on FTO? and how much gain on torque or hp would you say it actually gain?

Overall not much louder but a lot more low down torque (as soon as i have these figures will let you know) On average 15 bhp was gained whih i think is alright for the money.

I've got the RPW extrator & also a FPR. I did a review a while back already.

around 15hp is not bad at all~~
where can you get it done cheap in sydney :D

and now for a newbie question, would it be a defect?

I got pull over couple of times for a random check, pop the bonnet, & cops didn't say sh*t, cause they can't tell if the extractor is original or not, plus FPR is standard in every car, you just putting an adjustable one in thats all. Its all legal.

If you talking about RPW extractor group buy, Dave (Mitsuman) from RPW had tried before in this forum, but there wasn't enough interest to carry through.
