just recieved mine this arvo jell... for anyone considering this i cant recommend this enough. great product and well protected during delivery. i was actually surprised when i jimmied the crate open... two layers of wood, foam, and air filled plastic sleeves lol you dont take any chances do you mate

Mate i bet my left testicle that they will, i have been talking to a lot of fibreglass guys (experts in their feilds) and they ALL say that it will crack eventually. It is due to the different expansion rates of the two different products (fibreglass and metal). especially here in australia were we have hot summers and cold winters. In a climate that doesnt change much you will be able to get away with it for a lot longer but it still will crack.

my blended dc lip hasn't cracked in any of the join spots... nor have i heard from borsai or any of the blended boys about cracks in their bars. i'm not saying that it wont crack... but i think if done correctly it can be done.

i found the sideskirts that i liked, theyr called dyno dcuatro or something, the one with the hole near the rear wheel... it suits stock facelift models imo...

Im talking about bonding fibreglass (the wheel arch) to metal (the fender)

Your talking about bonding fibreglass to fibreglass or fibreglass to plastic, which menas that they are "LESS" likely to crack. Fibreglass to fibreglass if done right should never crack

ok i'll use the front arches as an example. IF i secured the arch down with a few rivets on the front bumber, rivets on the fender and on the sideskirts then filled on top off that... would the filler still crack?

as the arch is held onto each part of the car (with minimum amount of movement when the car is on the road) would it not prevent cracking?

im trying to gather as much info as possible so i dont make a big mistake.

Ok, even over time rivets will work themselves loose. Now if your going to blend it your going to need to use some sort filler/putty. If you are going to just mount them then you wont need to rivet them at all just use a poly urethene. Blending will look better but will require a lot more work as you will need to make a cut between the gaurd and the bumper or otherwise you will never be able to remove your front bar.

yeah i'd cut a line... Which is another hassle since i'd have to fiberglass up some mounts behind the arch to bolt each part of the arch together. (the insides of the arches are just flat, theres no way of holding it together)

At first i didnt see it, just thought it was a normal FTO but on second glance there would appear to be some custom wide rear fender work done and maybe front fender as well? not to sure on that...

OMG i love that white fto... id change a few things about the front bar though... did anyone notice the poorly fitting rear bar on the silver one?
