i realised i've left out some important information what you are looking at is the current configuration of the car is the green line (the CAI stage 2 kit is not on the car its off for production.) and the brown line.

The power figures are based on the modifications made to see exactly what has been done to my car check out the background information it will give you a starting point.

say you have a GPX 4spd Tiptronic. the mods that have got me there are
  • custom exhaust
    highflow 7 litre CAT
O2 Rush POD with head sheild and snorkle (ensures there is enough air)
    iridium spark plugs
    Uniglide
from a stock car (which we haven't tested on) you should still get similar gains in power. I don't know about extractors as we think the Mitsu ones are pretty good overall and there won't be a huge power gain there.

The cost if you buy in our group buy budget 400.00 plus about 100.00 for fitting. 500-550.00 is the cost if you buy it later on, buying now will save you quite a bit of money.

hope this information has helped.

I didn't get an email Stephen  and haven't checked the forum since Tue. I'm definitely in for this mod. Please send me an email about payment details if it's not too late.

Same here Stephen, I didn`t get an email.
Surely if more than 10 want the intial run the price would come down even more.

ran into a few problems with the first one off the production run... it appears we made a mistake in the formula's, so the gains weren't there... we'll be getting another built slightly differently to correct this problem then test it again.

let you know how it goes when we get the next one in.

Would this possibly be done before 2nd week of December? I've got a compulsory service on 9/12 due to warranty obligations and I'm hoping to get it installed then.

I hope I'm not sounding too pushy  , I'm just curious. In any case, it would be much worse if this mod was rushed and we didn't get the best results out of it.

Hello smorison,

Just to clearly understand what is happening..

I thought a prototype was already made before and a final production one had been made and that's the one you have tested prior to the current one. Is this correct?

And then with that production one you found that it wasn't made properly, and needed to make it again. But it sounds like you guys have made another prototype and tested this one.

Does that mean the prototype you guys have made before wasn't right?

Just a question. Please I don't mean to be fussy or any thing. Just wanted to understand the situation.

Thanks,

we made a production version with a few small changes to it to try and extract more power. this didn't work so i guess you could call it a prototype but we weren't expecting it not to work.

How is the progress going with the exhaust mod? any improvements in power.

When do you think the production units will be available.

Regards

What's happening to this Steven? It feels like this thread is being purposefully ignored! I don't mind if the production mod has not been finished, but at least let us know.

not being ignored i've just been so busy its not funny.

Basically the decision we've come to (UAS and myself) is that we can't work out why we can't get a production version to pull the same kW's as the prototype. We also have problems that when testing on other cars we have been getting some really strange results.

So. we have couple of theories, one being that for this mod to work you must have a highflow CAT and a CAT back exhaust. We are doing one more test on a GPX and this will either be confirmed or not as the problem.

UAS are happy to offer anyone who wants a store credit or full refund of their deposit, (please email me and let me know your preference). if you want to wait a bit longer and see what happens this is also an option.
