just seems weird that the FTO drops so much power in this amount of time. Ah well the dyno is a tuning tool not a true measurment of power. But still its very off 8O

You're talking 130kw at the flywheel and 86kw at the wheels, so you're not comparing apples-to-apples.

Given the descrepencies of dynos, the age of the car and the drive train losses of autos, I reckon that all sounds pretty good.

that 86KW at the wheels isnt stock though! We are comparing a stock power figure to a modified figure.

We're also talking about different dynos / testing methods so the results will be different.

But even with the original 76kw reading, this represents around a 40% loss in power, which for the age and auto drivetrain sounds right.

ah i though it was on the same dyno! Whats the point of going to different dynos?? Isnt that a waste as really it doesnt give you an accurate figure after the unichip?

ummm.... I was refering to the original power figure quoted by Mitsubishi, obviously this was measured using different testing / dyno equipment to what Jeff used to test his (Japan).

The figures I quoted are on the same dyno on the same day. Pre and post Unichip.
