Chances are the block is the same and the heads will be differant as the NA is a single over head cam
They came in DOHC as well.

The non-turbo version of the 6A13 you can get it in either SOHC or DOHC versions. I know it doesn't have MIVEC so it is probably very similar to a larger bore GR engine (probably between 210 and 225bhp) but I've only seen stats for the SOHC

OK now i'm seriously contemplating a 6A13 bottom end for my 6A12 MIVEC... trouble is, i don't think this has been done before so it could end up as an expensive experiment if things don't work out...

what are some of the possible issues that I'm up for here fellas??

Things to worry about:-
Whether they fit together
Are the valve angles of the MIVEC engine different and they may foul the pistons
Getting a timing belt the correct length
If the block is higher then does it fowl with the bonnet
Can the engine crank take 8000rpm (it may redline at 7 or 7.5k)
Are the plenum chambers interchangle or does a 6A13 plenum flow more air

I have a MIVEC engine which is currently in pieces, if you want any pics (or measurements) of this let me know. If danny could do the same it should be able to answer if they'll fit together and the block height

It's a shame that I live in another continent :?

I believe that it is something that RPW looked into doing, I think they fit together okay but I don't think they had found a timing belt of the right length. I didn't think that this would be too hard to find :!:
