If I run the car untill almost dry I can get aprox 720k's. Not that I ever do run it that low.

Is that after the new fuel filter ? Or even before ?

Drive your E10 till dry.
Pump BP ultimate - 98
Reset ECU.
Finish a tank.
Pump another tank of BP 98.
Then only start to get the mileage reading for the fuel.

Well, quite a few cases been reported on shell having inconsistencies on fuel quality as in 'bad batch' exists.
I remember aza got burnt by it. Engine pinging??
Besides, shell put ethanol to v-power to get the ron up to 98.
(It's like you pump 95 and then you mix them with octane booster.)
Some say the additives/ethanol is bad for fuel system components. (injector clogs, etc.)
While BP ultimate is pure ron 98 fuel.

no not Engine pinging, engine went bang big time. Only cost shell about $14000 to fix.

Serious? So you filled up with V-power and what did it go bang straight away, or did it feel a bit off for a while before blowing?
How did you manage to convince Shell it was there fault? I thought they would have done all they could to blame it on something else.

how did your engine blow up running to lean ?

It took about 15 mins after I filled the car, it started to bog down then just stopped.
All injectors blocked open.
I went down to talk to the servo manager and she told me that there fuel was fucked so there was nothing they could do.
