one quick question and sorry to hijack...
When installing a strut brace...... should there be any contact with the bonnet? I placed one in my car yesterday and gently closed my bonnet, however there was some interference, e.g. the bonnet would not close as easily.... obviously I did not force it to close, But im pretty sure that the bonnet is making unecessary contact with the strut...
would this (a) be a problem with the strut?
(b) be a problem with my bonnet - whether it us straight etc
(c) a normal thing to happen...

It shouldn't make any contact with the bonnet; the only problem you might find is the air-con condenser & the brake cylinder. But if you careful it shouldn't touch either of them.
