A great strategy to combat this - drive 10 - 15 km/h
below the speed limit, so when you accidentally pick up a few clicks going down a hill, it isn't the end of the world or your wallet.
your way of thinking is good, but on a serious note the speed limit is 50 to 60km can you see yourself driving 10 to 15km under the speed limit my car idles when im doing 60.
if i go 35 to 40 i recon my car will stall he he he.
and not only that il get a lot of drivers beeping at me.
what im saying is a person knows when to accelerate to overtake for whatever reason.
The law has taken that decision away from drivers hence making us all robots.
have you tried to overtake a car doing 55, it will take you a bit of time if you overtake doing 60.
oncoming traffic will colide with you before u even finish overtaking .
i think a resposible driver knows what to do on the road .

Here's some positive for the cops...
Last week i was driving down to wollongong on the southern freeway for uni, i was in the right lane doing the speed limit slowly overtaking someone at freeway speeds and this stupid SP23 comes zooming right up behind me and tailgates me. Made me pretty pissed off...so my options were
1/ Show them exactly why the MPS is superior to an SP23
2/ Let them pass
To my amazement, i chose option 2 lol. So this girl zooms past me at about 140 and disappears. 10 minutes down the freeway, i see her pulled over by a VE highway patrol car hehe.

Haha mate I'm glad you realise I'm just stirring the pot... forgive me for being somewhat of a smartass.
I agree that far too much importance is placed on 'sticking to the speed limit' as opposed to driving safely. I really do worry when I'm driving through 40 zones, because I spend so much time looking at my god damned speedo that if a kid was to jump out on the road I'd make more of a mess of them than if I were watching the road while travelling at 60km/h.
The problem today is that in favouring cameras over actual Highway Patrol officers (f*cking government and their cost cutting / revenue raising) is that the technology can't differentiate between a sensible driver who has accidentally strayed a few k's over the limit, and a dickhead who's weaving in and out of traffic 30km/h above the limit.
Again, because of the f*cking government and their stupid revenue raising, even the 'real' police are forced into writing out tickets to people they know are sensible and probably don't usually / intentionally speed.
So yes, this sucks. But I don't think it's necessarily What Is Wrong with Police Today, more likely Why The f**k Did We Vote This Government In Again?

WTF? what do you mean? we voted a differenet government in and nothing has changed and it wont, till "voters" get off their ass's and do something about it.
Or do mean another form of government like comunism etc. Yeah cause that works
