under the fto parts, has that AB style bonnet as well

and

http://www.uniqueautosports.com/priceli ... bonnet.jpg[/url]

the second one seems to be the same as the one posted on carmate, but the other picture suggests a different model, u can see the original fto style buldge down the middle of the black coloured bonnet.

and im new, so what's so illegal about custom bonnets?
what's allowed, and what's not?

EDIT: oh, and i just realised, on that carmate link, the third or 4th picture is a different bonnet. cause the ones modelled on the fto have that middle buldge, but the lone picture has no buldge, like the on in the site i linked.
sorry if this doesnt make sense

basically what I've been told by kid_dynamite, is that they're illegal cos in an event of a crash where you hit a pedestrian, the bonnet needs to hold the weight of a pedestrian, but a CF or fibreglass bonnet won't, so it's a defect.
Also something about when you have a crash with something else how the bonnet bends etc, not so sure about that but the major issue is it not being able to hold the weight of a pedestrian

the bend that happens to the bonnet in a crash is horizontal across the middle (as if you were to crash into the back of someone...like i did a little while ago :()...the front bumper sorta snaps in the middle, the radiator's pushed back into the extractor pipes and the bonnet gets a 90degree fold in the middle

im sure someone said u can ADR approve them though..

Consumers usually can't.. it's up to the distributor / retailer / manufacturer etc to do so.
