best thing for you to do is take your FTO into Unqiue and they will quote on your requirements. Unlike most places they listen and will custom build anything you want. They don't believe in one size fits all.

I'm interested in this thingamajig. But I have to do a few things first:
1. Find out if my mechanic can install it for me.
2. Get a dyno done pre installation.
3. Get some ICE before summer comes 8) .

Is there an expiration date on this offer or will it always be available?

im going to kings exhaust on sunnyholt rd blacktown, mah friend done his extractors in there(SSS), and my sis done her exhaust in there aswell(SUPRA)
so yeah im putting my trust in him i might get a discount in there aswell so yea im still thinkin, thats why i want to know the price diff...

plus juz one more question..guys?
-i got a cannon muffler and i reckon my muffler is pretty big for my car,do i lose power for that or i mean does it make any diff..or it all depends on the piping???
please help me on this one, im really pissed off because im gonna do my exhaust all over again and its like wasting money!!!

1. If they can't they shouldn't be a mechanic
2. Easy takes 15 minutes
3. that's upto you

umm exhahust size. I wouldn't be going over 2.5" piping and muffler (tip excluded).

the price of about 400.00 is limited to the initial bulk run, after that it'll increase to somewhere around the 500.00 mark so you'll save 100.00 on the purchase.

smorison: so is there a time I have to let you know by to get into this bulk run?

cheers,
nick

yeah i'm going to need a deposit from those that want one. What i'm doing is waiting to answer as many questions as i can so that we can have a nice big first run and save everyone money. As soon as i can firm up the numbers i will then i'll ask you to pay the deposit. The first run will take about 2 weeks to get built and then those in sydney can have it swapped over in a quick trip to UAS.

I had the prototype taken off my car this morning so we're ready to go with a production run hopefully starting the end of next week if i can firm up orders by then.

I noticed straight away that it was gone, not just sound wise but power wise.

Hello,

Just a simple question though...
You have initially asked for 10 people to confirm this install to have it done for the price of $400..

Now, if you get more than 10 people then is the price going to come down a little for the first runup people?

Just a question.

Thanks,

Count me in.
How much for shipping to Brissy?
Jeff

yeah for 10 the price will be about 400.00 Installation is extra and shouldn't take very long. see the document in the "FTO Project" for more information.

Shipping to Brisbane will probably be the same as Melbourne @ 40.00 wouldn't expect it to be much more but i'll check that out.

Few questions if I could please :)

I have some rather congested piping at the rear of my FTO due to having two mufflers fitted. First question is that will this maze of pipework diminish the claimed performance increase of this part or not? AFAIK my pipework is the std diameter right through just more (or less?) pipework for the extra muffler.

Also will this part increase the noise level being more free flowing or not?

Lastly - Is there a benefit in swapping the cat to a better one and if so how does one determine what type is better?

good questions, the more twists and turns in the pipework the more chance of creating back pressure, it also depends on whether its mandrel or press bent.

re: CAT's any decent highflow CAT will be fine i'm using one designed for a turbo'd car, it is bigger than is required, thereby allowing more airflow.

jack your car up if you can and take a photo of your pipework and send it in please

Thanks Stephen

So assuming I have more back pressure does that mean my car won't realise as much power as the standard exhaust set up or not :?

As far as I remember the bends are mandrel as they are very tight bends but I haven't looked that closely at it to be certain.

a little bit of back pressure is useful for generating low down torque (i.e. at low revs). our setup (which has been modified again btw last night to improve the harmonics / flow of gasses) has just enough back pressure so as not to harm low down torque - and actually improve it - whilst allowing for more power / torque at higher revs.

I've been promised the dyno prints this morning so i should be able to get them up tonight.

hey guys,
its crunch time i need to commit to how many we do in the production run. I will be emailing all those who have shown interest to confirm you actually are. if you don't receive an email from me within 12 hours and you want to be part of the inital order you must contact me immediately

I will require a deposit of 200.00 for each one you wish to purchase. Remember that if you guy in the inital run you will save at least 100 -150.00 off the normal price.

shipping interstate will be about $40.00 to most capital cities (darwin / Hobart are excluded contact me for more information if you live in these cities)

The dyno runs have been put up in the FTO Project section of the site for those who want to see the gains proven. Take note of the conditions as those with Manuals (and tires that aren't bald) will get better results

cost

So you reckon the final product is gonna be worth $550? plus fitting?
You can get extractors aswell for a couple hundred more.

sorry, i'm new to this dyno things... just a couple of questions...
firstly, in the results summary, the title is Exhaust/CAI Stage 2 and in the Projects page you have separate page for CAI Stage 2 and Exhaust Mods I. Are they the same thing or separate? I assume this is a combined result of 2 separate things.. but I just want to confirm.

my car is stock...so I assume in the graph I'm in the Base power point.. if I add this exhaust mod... do I go to that exhaust point (100.6kw) or do i need the other mods you had to get there? if i just add this to my stocky.. any approx what my kw may be?? sorry if these are simple questions  mines a manula gpx.

thanks..

sorry... I've posted my previous reply before really trying to understand it =) it's ol good.. i understand it now...

however, my other questions is... how much is the CAI stage 2 project? is that available too? and is the power gain from that taken to account if you have say a K&N pod filter installed etc?
