funny you should say that kev, i was in a 2000 VR4 and it had factory woodgrain and the guy had put beige leather in it... looked verrrrrrrry nice

looks cool and a quality job not my cup a tea though .
out of uinterest how much would the same thing be done in c/f .
would av thought they did the same in a c/f look if not u should mention it to them cos they would be on a right little earner there.

Yep, they do CF too (Same price - pattern doesnt matter). See Page 1
The problem I have with black is that it is too close to the colour of the current cabin. Want something a litle brighter. Not sure about the beige, did a little playing with Photoshop but couldnt get anythihng that grabbed me.....

They were the ones I was making some enquiries to... they said they couldn't do the rubber parts

Yep, they initially told me that they could not guarantee that the finish would bond properly to the rubber. I told them I has a spare, so I wasnt too purturbed if it didnt work out and that I would not hold them to their guarantee on that particular piece. It came out great, now all I have to do is keep it that way - im currently putting a folded towel over that part of the dash and always using a sunshade over the windshield, just to keep the heat off it.
Had a talk with the manager after he did it and he has said that the rubber wasnt very porous (thats good) and if I had any problems, maybe they could build a fibreglass skin over it. Hopefully, wont come to that - certainly holding up well so far.
They would probably be happier now to tackle the job as they have one under their belt. And if worse comes to worse, I have a spare that I am using in the simulator im building. I dont really care how it looks, ill do a swap.....
PS. I know, this is a bit of a repeat of what I said on page 1. Hopefully a little more information here..

Havent had any issues . This looks rather promising, especially with the hot weather we have been having. I would think that heat is the biggest risk. Have been covering the console with a cloth and using a sun protector on the front window when the car is parked (and at work it is in the sun all day).
I would have to say thumbs up. And it looks soooooo much better than standard. And for you CF supporters out there, a CF equivalent would look magic!
And yeah, the Dashboard Centre got the pics just before Christmas. They are the same as the ones posted on this thread.
