As with the group buy or in general?? I fitted a FPR when i got mine, & you have to re-map your air/fuel ratio or you be running rich.
Hey FTO338,

If im getting the Manifold, Manifold insulator,TB,FPR, extractors and getting the pod boxed with a snorkle from the front of the car to the pod (UAS CAI) , do you think it will have to be re-mapped ? If so how do you do this ?

Apart from the insulator, I’ve done everything you mention already, I adjust my air/fuel ratio with the Apexi SAFC, & dyno tune.

You can get a piggyback like Unichip, Power Perfect SMT6, Greddy eManager, which should give you a better result. I had a problem with Unichip due to a stupid installer (his authorized dealer too). So I stick to the SAFC, its cheap from 2nd hand market.

What ever you do, don't go for a stand alone computer, it’s a waste of money for the minor mod like ours, & you might end up with lot more problems like rough cold start & shifting problem with Tip.

Yeah, Im trying out the new perfect power unit next week - SMT7.

Depending on how the car feels when all your new bits are on, you may get away without a dyno & need for computers. The stock computer will compensate for the extra air & fuel going in / out.

But I'd highly recommend getting a dyno tune done. Especially as they're going to have to find the right pressure setting for that FPR...

So it should run ok without the SAFC or Piggy back ??

RPW has recommended the Greedy Emange so ill be getting that next.

So seeing im getting the mods that you allready have what should i expect ??

Yes it will run, but as i said before, it will run rich.

I don't what you should expect, as every car is different.

So it shouldnt cause any damage while running rich though will it ?

How long do u think i could get away with running it without a piggyback ?

Running rich is kinda good for your car, as more fuel = cooler engine, but the down side is fuel consumption, & also you not optimizing your modification's performance.

Running rich can also be very bad for your car...
If your engine is running as rich for too long, it may be dumping raw gas past the rings and into the crankcase where it gets circulated with the engine oil. This causes a number of problem with seals, and also weakens the coatings on the crankshaft. It will also harden & petrify the rubber seals of your valves & that can lead to major head surgery.

Just got off the phone to RPW asked if the car would run rich he basically said it wouldnt with the FPR set at around 42 pounds...

Obviously you will get more out of it with a piggy back and a dyno tune...

Its probably worth resetting my ecu though dont you think ??

Oh im getting a oil cooler too :D
