No, just my dislike of bloatware.

Seriously, who makes a site consisting of so much sh*t.
Apart from Zuckerberg.

(I digress, off topic.)

That sounds like its running on 3 cylinders, check your coilpacks, leads.

Also is your map sensor plugged in?

I agree, I have never hit 8000-8750rpm in any of my gears.

I didn't used to like taking mine past 8k. Generally hit the shift up on tip at about 7,700/7,800 and it would shift pretty much on 8k.
I fix cars.

Not in mine, I have no rev limiter, at 8900 my engine "drops off the edge" so to say.
I have pushed it to find the "edge", thats why I shift when my LEDs all flash at 8000.

Ummm... I know you're the infinitely better mechanic and all Phil, but wouldn't there be a limiter at 8,250 for a reason?
I fix cars.

I was thinking more along the lines of why would it be de-limited in the first place

Couriosity got the better of me, I just had to know where the "edge" was as I don't have a limiter.
I do have a cold engine limiter at 4000, but no full engine limiter.
I change when my lights tell me too which is at about 8250-8500 by the time I react to the 8000rpm flashes.
