I seem to have the same problem.
What does this stepper motor look like?
Is there an FAQ or DIY docco for this somewhere?

stepper motor is under the throttle body the original factory one i think has the brown plastic cap thing. bloody mechanic told me my one was replaced when it wasnt

Heres a link for a good info and testing the ISC:

ISC on TR/TS Magnas are the same therefore should be easy to find.
I pick mine up second hand from the wreckers for $80. I could have got it cheaper if I shopped around.
Use a small 8mm socket to remove from the throttle body.
