maybe i can use a cast iron block as long as its small... how much would a FTO block weigh? 50kgs would be pushing it...... would it sit very high??i couldent see it being very large. i would be bolting the pistons or welding them to the top of the block for extra height but my couch is lowline anyway

damn then another 4 pistons to support the table. with castors it would alright for a hardwood floor right? would you's wait and pay the money for an alloy block or use a fto 1 despite the weight?

simple would just put felt or carpet under block to prevent scratching and make it easy to slide around. Plus its a coffee table dont think you would be moving it very often? piston are very light mate beside its a table why does weight need to be a factor?
