The trick is getting enough people for the mould (and paying for the original item + shipping). I did this for the front bar skirts and rear bar because thats what I wanted anyway (as a result, mine cost lots more than everyone elses), but as the only bits id really like are the fenders (end even then im not sure about those), its not worth it for me. But for someone who really wanted them and wanted a bit of cost recovery, it'd be worth it.

Hmm well i would be interested in getting that hood copied into CF but how would that work? would i alone have to pay for the original hood and another to be copied or would we all split the cost of the original?
And to answer duffman, supercharging is the way to go for me, and JHD japan do a very nice HKS GTS8550 kit for 3k, so after supporting mods which i already have most of except clutch pretty much its going to be cheaper than a turbo.
I know jack about custom making so i never really considered that an option, but how easy is it really to do? What are the positives/negatives?

If you pay for the original, you would put a small overhead on each of the ones sold to recover your costs. Again, you would have to have enough people interested to be able to get the mould for free.

As for the 3k supercharger ( it will cost more then that gotta think about pipeing , pully system , mounting brackets
All has to be custom made

I think fenders wouldn't be worth the cost if you like the look go to pannel beater and he should be able to make them off your stock fenders out of metal
Then have a mold made

Yea the basic kit itself was 3k, assuming that all supports as you said such as piping, brackets etc they should come in well under the 7k or so someone metioned earlier as a round figure - and as for the fenders - where is a good place that people get their custom stuff done in SE QLD? The fenders I'm looking at would be pretty hectic to custom make (personally - but i have nfi what these guys are capable of really) because of the completely different look with the vents and wide body look etc but hey if i can be done and ridiculously cheaper then I'm all for it, i just assumed it wouldn't be too much cheaper in the end to compensate for all the bull s**t and dramas you would go through to get them custom made...
Well there's my 2 cents anyway :)
And cheers for the tips n stuff too - preciated

The wide fenders won't last as there fiberglass mounted to metal it will crack at the seam line
When it comes to simple things like front fenders its not hard to have vents cut into them same with hood
Dstocks can tell you how much effot it is to make custom rear as he did for the group buy
Even if they charged you a arm and a leg im sure it would be cheaper for most parts to have it made
The kaze front fenders and hood are pretty basic shouldn't be to hard to make

After some thought im going to get the front and rear fenders off kaze, but what i want to do if we get enough people interested is get a mould done and get them in carbon fiber.
I don't know figures about how much this process is going to cost providing we get 10 people and a free mould, hopefully someone who knows a ballpark figure can post it here.
If CF isnt really going to be a good option cost wise then is anybody going to be keen to just get a mould and replicate them?
Going to get them regardless of whether we get 10 people to convert them to CF so if your interested then put your name down below and see what happens.
Here is a link for those who dont know what they look like:
