Ok, so clearly the plate can only go the one way on either gear - so long as its the Mivec plate thats being used. The tab vs the cam locating dowel on the gears are in the same spot.

So if that can't be fucked up, the only thing left that can be fucked up - is the timing belt. My guess, they got the belt out by at least 1 tooth.

Get 'em to redo it, this time making absolutely sure, all the verniers are centred at 0 degrees before they put the timing belt on.

Yeah we know the plates are different. The GR ones are smaller, hence the gears look different in size.

bent a valve putting the cam belt on out by 2 teeth.... easy to do, but easy to realise youve done as well...

get em to re-do it!

Oh yeah haha dumb idiots.

i love you ben!

they're going to love the news they get to put them on for free muahahaha!

so they would only have to drill into the mivec plate which they mustve done since there is a pic with it on but since they fucked the cam belt thats why it wouldnt run!

THANK YOU!

and aza for supplying the winning pics!

so went in today and spoke to the owner not the guy that did the work he looked at them at said he couldnt see how they wouldnt go on and fix.

then the tool bag that did the work came in and was like he couldnt get the notch in the plate to line up on the othe cam wheel, sigh, now theyre also ssaying to make sure the dowel is correctly placed,

they didnt seem keen to do it again as you would presume cos it is a lot of work they have to do.

so meh.

Well all i can say is FML...

For those of you who know whats going on this picture will explain everything.

Image

Now for a more detailed explanation as you can the sensor plate is out by one tooth. hence why it would make sense the car wasnt running properly. FML.

If the plate is out of place it also means the dowel for the camshaft is out of place. FML.

now my mechanics dont know this. as i told them everything you guys said on here and the owners are swaying my way over the retard mechanic that did the work including my seals so what im hoping is going to happen is they are getting sent back to envy dyno and made properly without my mechanics knowledge and then ill go back to them and say i measured them and everything and you stuffed up the timing belt or something.

just something so they can put them on. ive also got another oil leak. just great looks like they'll be pulling apart my engine again anyways. just seriously FML and i have the worst luck ever.

Oil leaks are a bitch, as soon as you find one and fix it the oil will find another week spot and push out there :?
