Or it could be a vR but they changed the kit. It happens. Olliz car came without the normal vR wing.

According to my stats, there was a vR produced from May 96 (pre facelift)
Maybe one of you PC thugs could email him & ask for the chassis number so we can look it up

lol I don't think that is correct.
I'm pretty certain it's a pre facelift GPvR or a GP

yeah I meant that thing on dstocks website is probably incorrect

The NAKAYA-TUNE FTO was a limited car in early ‘97 (still pre face-lift). 300 cars were sold. The car is tuned by Akihiko Nakaya, Driver of the TAEIVON FTO (below) in the Japanese GT300 series in ‘98-’99

The main differences are Nakaya-Tune Sports Muffler (Made by Prof), Nakaya-Tune Brake Pad (Made by AP), Nakaya-Tune Carbon Fibre Lip Spoiler, Nakaya-Tune Suspension, Nakaya-Tune Shock Absorber (Made by OHLINS),

see mine's a 96 model and doesn't have the lip spoiler

Its a GP

well it's either a GP or pre facelift GPvR
I've pretty much got all the bits of the GPvR like the manual air con and blue seats, momo airbag wheel etc

edit: according to that link mine would be a 96 GPvR since it's a May build and not Feb 96 for the GP

then again the chassis code matches the GP

Yeah, these chassis number comparisons are right. I used to have a cut down version of dstocks' chart on this site prior to the great hack of 2003. It came from Mitsubishi Japan too.

HRFH says GP. The date Feb 96, is not the month they were made, but the month that production began on that particular model.

there's too many contradictions on that link damnit

says 96 GPvR came in icelle blue but not the GP
says GPvR 96 model is may 96 build which is mine whereas the GP is Feb 96

says GPvR has RalliArt Muffler which mine has as well as the RalliArt strut brace

so basically I've got a GP with the Ralliart exhaust, strut brace, blue seats and momo airbag steering wheel or something heh

edit: lol I think the only way to find out for sure is to see if it comes with a LSD
maybe if I can convince Jono to do my manual conversion someday

 Thats about right I'd say.

Ignore the build months. Those months state when production began on that model... Feb 96 is when they began making the GP. Prpoduction of the GP could well have gone all the way to 2000.

As for all the options, you'll have to quiz Dwayne on that, he manually put all those in according to C.A.P.S - and as we know via the chassis decoder (also powered by the C.A.P.S database) its not always acurate..

And also  dont forget, a lot of those extra bit like your Ralliart exhaust, strut brace etc were all available as factory options. So god knows how many variations of that are out there.

FTO roof racks 8O

I'd assume as much but why would you buy a GP and option it with all vR bits lol

edit: there's also this as well
