hey smorison, i was led to believe that if they cant show you on a speed gun what spped you were doing they can only give you a ticket if you admit to speeding.

ALLWAYS DENY SPEEDING UNLESS THEY CAN PROVE IT.

if you still get the ticket and prove me wrong then youve lost nothing...


except maby your licence

in Vic/Melbourne it is not wise to stand up to the cops, particularly if you drive a modified car coz if you dish out an ounce of attitude towards them, they will absolutely make you regret it by dishing out ridiculous fines and defect notices for things done to your car...

so the moral of the story here is, be courteous to the cop and you will have a better chance of getting away with it. 85% of the time it's an attitude test - the more attitude you give to them, the more reason they have for giving you a hard time...

two years back now... must be something like that, it was a while ago, i was travelling to myrtlford on the HUME hwy, saw the guy in front of me get flashed, hence i slowed right down, then freaked when i saw a cortina, rusted to all hell with patchy paintwork and a bloody surf board on the roof, just to top it off there is the pig sitting beside the camera on a tripod wearing a hawian shirt RALMAO. ill never forget that, still tell it to everyone when ever the convo comes up. freaked me out bad, consiquently i giggled all the way to myrtlford lol

In my area of Melbourne they have a speed cammers set up in a wheelie bin. Saw some photos of it that a friend took of it. Never went out on rubbish days for obvious reasons ""GARBBOS REVENGE""

Also they have privatised the speed cameras down here so have seen them in everything from rent-a-bombs to high priced BMW"s.

Best one I ever saw was in Burwood area one morning, saw the lights on a white XR6, then as I got closer the b#@$*d cut me off and whist sitting behind him watched the lights dissappear into the rear parcel shelf, (look mah, no hands)

Hey guys, finally back on.... i am at the acadamy, ill be a cop in august (dont hate me), and i hate cops as much as the next person.
cops can book you without a gun as they are classed as professionals in traffic and speed....
they can hide where and when they want
i did defects the other day and was told if u can move it, defect it
they said u could defect a brand new car if u want, u can still find stuff wrong with it

Do the cops ever wonder why people dont trust them... They hassel the sh*t out of people that dont do anything wrong and blatently (spelling?) break the law themselves right in front of everyone... If they stopped being such pricks all the time then maybe they would get some respect...

btw I'm talking about cops in general not all of them as I know some really top coppers... man I cant believe I just said that...
