Neither would I, but there is obviously some interest out there based on the number of times this question is asked.
Just did a bit of a google and there appear to be manufacturers and/or bonnets that have ADR approval. The bonnet will have a sticker on it if it is approved. They certainly seem to be in the minority though - and this does not say that there is one available for the FTO.
Looks as though if you are buying one of these and want to be legal, you will really have to do your research.

My FTO is a 95... does that mean theres hope??
I have had countless defects on mine (in QLD you also loose a point each time). My mechanic passes it for rego regardless.
I told just cars about it and they were cool.
I will be talking to my engineer when he does my new engines mod plating about what i could do to make it legal. (Contemplating fitting the original bracing to the CF... (though that would increase the weight.)

Correct me if i'm wrong, But I thought it was also the Vents that made it illegal.. cause if flames/smoke were to come out of your bonnet they will go straight into your vision.
