i think there is around 4 people in the workshop on and off....

what im worry about is that the cost to do a report will cost as much as buying an engine or something.....
because need to take apart the engine...
but its still worth to check out the price on monday...

also how much percentage% do u guys think i will win in this battle ?
considering that only dealing with this one mechanic (alex)and not the one previous owner used mechanic...

thanks so lot :(

the RACV should do a report for you at a reasonable price.

you also need the old set of plugs that where taken out , they show the condition the engine was in before they worked on it.

Good luck

Hello all, this is a message to "The Person On behalf of MJ motors"
you seem to have lots of things to say about this FTO engine although you cant seem to make up your mind on what excuse to use.

Being a witness in the workshop and having other friends feedback about this place i can quite comfortably say that something dodgy has been going on.

Engine number 1
Engine was running fine when it came into the workshop. It went in for a service, seemingly quite innocent. Once the engine oil was changed and the car was started (witnessed) the engine was running extremely rough and shaking making a terrible knocking noise.
"Apparently" this was the "tappets" making this noise.......
I Quote "The oil used was thicker so it might cover up this noise"
Dude.. the tappets are lubricated by oil they are not swimming in Gunk.. the oil would have had to be as thick as wax for it to be hidden that much, and let me tell you, these "tappets" sounded like a truck.

After a long time contemplating you decided that it was best to check out the engine to see what was wrong with it. Refering to your other quote
"Two washers were missing FROM THE INLET MANIFOLD and might have been dropped into the engine"
Washers do not teleport into the combustion chamber where you said they were to cause all that damage. A combustion chamber is a SEALED section of the engine. The pistons have not been taken out of this car for at least over 1 year. The could not have been in the combustion chamber "rolling around" and i quote again "Rolling around in think oil" in the combustion chamber... because there is NO oil in the combustion chamber.. just fuel and air buddy... this rules out washers.

Let me remind everyone of the situation again
1. FTO come into workshop running fine
2. Oil was changed and TIMING belt was changed.. "Cam Gears" need to be taken off to access the tappets which were adjusted
3. After service engine sounds terrible and is Idling horribly
4. EXCUSES ARE MADE
5. LEARN TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY

Dont let me start on the second engine.. Let me just say
Quote "you dont need to do a test on the engine, because it was my fault" this was quoted by MJ motors

Sick and tired of mechanics trying to take advantage of their trusting customers so this had to be said.
Thank u for you time
