Just swap it with your car. Both black, both mostly black rims.c3rbera wrote:I like that suggestion...

Who'd know the difference?

Just throw an intercooler and a turbo on the back seat...He'd gain mivec and everything, it's obviously an excellent deal.bjk wrote:Just swap it with your car. Both black, both mostly black rims.c3rbera wrote:I like that suggestion...

Huh...taillight issues are no longer. Just replaced it (thanks dstocks by the way
no chip or condensation anymore
) and here I was worrying about a busted indicator. When the light wasn't even connected...
Now I wonder who could've done that...*cough* Kiz *cough*

There are two types of people on forums; those that give helpful advice, and the others

Re: c3rbera's GPX
SHE'S ALIVE.
Alternator's in, air feed's in, battery's in, running beautifully...with the strut brace can even power around roundabouts like 50 times better lol.
Nah but it's stiffened it up a lot, car feels so much more stable.
The car gods (or Tim maybe?) even granted me my 18 year old speakers at full capacity, all distortion gone...
Even has some decent bass.
Odd timing...considering there's boxes full of fully hectic sound system sitting in the boot... will attempt install this week.

Those rear strut bars are magic, eh? Curious about the speakers though.

Not until your daughter surpasses you. :') Nah but I'll see how it pans out, and will do.vipfto wrote:The only car god in adelaide is me lol jks. Glad all good though if ya get stuck with ice install let me know. Simple stuff

Still have one of the rear 6x9s out with a broken connection but the other 3 sound really good now...like strangely good...bjk wrote:Those rear strut bars are magic, eh? Curious about the speakers though.

...I'm not questioning it.

When everyone's all fixed up that sounds good. But in the meantime just hit me up if you wanna go out for some hills sometime, we live close enough anyway, can 'experience' the coils too (baring in mind the tyres would be different so not sure if it's a great comparison). Are you still driving your car atm?

Yeah, I'm still driving. But it's going in for repairs tomorrow. Fingers crossed they have a hire car available and I won't have to borrow my parents van.
I reckon the spring rates will be enough difference, haha.

This is good! Wish you luck for a smooth process, doubly so with the insurance stuff afterwards man, sounds so messy from what you've said.
Ride alone...in more or less words, it's bumpier lol.
It's good though, I'll have to take you driving, you'll see then.

Re: c3rbera's GPX
Cheers. I've yet to hear back about the reimbursement, will have to ask tomorrow. I only hope it can happen before I go away for the weekend of the 23rd so I can get the rims/tyres on before then. Otherwise it'll be a bit tight.
But enough of me in your thread.

Re: c3rbera's GPX
Speaker installation is done...with free (sort of) Alpine Type S 5x7's. I'm sure no one cares about how they were installed but the point is it can be done if anyone ever wonders.
Just snap the 2 obstructing brackets off from the the front speaker covers, make extending brackets for the back ones and voila.
Going from stock speakers...the difference is amazing lol..not amped yet but they're loud! And they're so crisp. Like painfully crisp even on the bassiest EQ... Brings some interesting dynamics even if they're just 2-ways.
Unfortunately we've lost most upper bass. I remember this with the Mirage too because there was no 6x9's. Sub should help a bit once wired up. Probably a mistake going with ported though.
All pessimistics aside, car sound tends to trip over itself when playing any ounce of metal but this system seems to like Korn...so I am happy...
It was a good night's worth of testing.
